Both St Patricks Athletic and Shamrock Rovers are through to the Quarter Finals of the  LFA Senior Cup after wins in the last few days over Bray Wanderers and St Mochtas respectively.
St Pats traveled to the Carlisle Grounds last Sunday and after a blistering start when they scored three goals in ten minutes, Pats were well on the way to the last eight with Ryan Brennan, Kevin Toner and Christy Fagan all finding the net. Hugh Douglas did manage to pull one back for Bray on 68 minutes but the Inchicore based side held on for the win

Last night (Wednesday), Rovers overcame a strong challenge from St Mochtas to go through. Brandon Kavanagh had the home side at half time when he scored a penalty but Dean Kelly brought St Mochtas back level in the second half but an Evan Smthers goal saw Rovers book their place in the last eight
