Baldoyle United travelled to Carlow on Sunday and a hard working display saw them overcome an injury stricken Hanover Harps side 3-2. The AUL side always seemed to be chasing the game as they conceded early and had to withstand a barrage of Hanover attacks to keep themselves in the game, still just 1-0 down at the break. The second half was a little more evenly contested but it was fifteen minutes from time before the visitors levelled, only for Hanover to score again a minute later. It took great character for Baldoyle to continue to press forward and minutes later, they were level again and with three minutes to go, found the net for what proved to be the winner and booked their place in the last eight
