Naas FC and LFA Youth Josh Derham was the hero for the Republic of Ireland last night in Wales when his goal proved to be the difference between the two sides in the first leg of the John Coughlan Memorial Cup. His second half goal was the only goal of a very closely contested encounter with Irish manager Jim Crawford delighted with the performance of his side as they head into Thursday's second leg in a very positive frame of mind. Wales are the holders of this cup, which they won in Tramore last February, but Crawford is determined to bring the trophy back to Dublin on Thursday evening before he takes up his role as coach with Stephen Kenny's Under Twenty One's
The match on Thursday is in Bala Town's ground and kicks off at 2pm
